This Post is for JonMC, and lovers of great baseball everywhere... →[More:] Miko and I went herelast night for drinks and grub to watch Game 7.

It is easily the best bar around here, and at the end of the game (and the night), we were all fans. Everyone gabbering away, screaming at the television, it was fantastic.

At one point, the owner, Jeff, said I could borrow his DVD of The Sandlot.

Bunnies, it just doesn't get better than that. A fine time was had by all (and The Cards may have the Series, but they DON'T HAVE ENDY CHAVEZ!!!!!)

Jonmc, what do you think of the t shirt that has "fenway park, established 1912" in the MA town sign on the front and "I love that dirty water" on the back (but it didn't have the all-important next line :-( ...LA band--one of my favorite US cities, what's not to love?) ? I found it in a tchotchke store in Northampton.

But then I bought the Liverpool Football Club T strictly for the liver bird.

Reyes' catch blew my mind... I still can't believe my eyes... the atmosphere at Shea looked amazing... bummer of an ending to be sure... this is how the world ends, not with a bang, but a whimper (or something like that).

Was it Reyes who made that catch? I thought it was the Chavez kid. What do I know?

Still, that was the game for the Mets. They should have snapped the necks of the Cards right then and there, but you can't defend against a home run.

Damn that was fun to watch though. Go Tigahs!
