I made it! I'm in Washington, crashed out at my hotel after getting here this morning and then working pretty much a full day.→[More:] Thanks to you bunnies' helpful advice, I have a laptop (Toshiba Satellite) and am able to stay in touch with y'all while I'm away.

Also, the ever-cool danostuporstar and I are going to try to meet next weekend to see Bob Mould's DJ act here in town, which should be an absolute ball. (I only say "try" because my job is famous for screwing up my social life, so I call everything tentative until it happens.)

I've got to go find some dinner now, but just wanted to let y'all know I was here, thank you all for the various advice so far. :)
