25 August 2006

I had my first dream about sugar gliders. [More:]

I'm adopting two little guys and am so excited! Last night I dreamt I was feeding them.

Just had to share.
Did you dream about their names? I'm intensely curious!

When do you get to bring them home?
posted by eekacat 25 August | 12:02
Yeah, what did you end up calling them?

They are being shipped to me on September 9th. Eeeee!

I haven't named them yet because I want to meet them first.

I've narrowed the name list (although I'm still open to suggestions):

Jake & Elwood
Watson & Crick
Pipkin & Zipper (Pip & Zip)
Beagan & Keegan ("small one" and "small flame/ardent" in Gaelic)
Bunsen & Beaker
Pippin & Tog
Bonzai & Geronimo (Bon & Mo)

OMG they're so cute! I can't wait! Gah!

Specklet, I have always thought of you as a wondrous and true person, but you have just risen even further in my esteem by stating that "I haven't named them yet because I want to meet them first." I wonder why more people don't do this with their kids in America. . .I know it's tradition other places. It makes so much sense.

Errr. . .that being said. . .

I like Jake & Elwood.

Martin & Lawrence?

Thanks, rainbaby!

I really like Jake & Elwood too. They're gonna have to be kind of badass for me to name them after the Blues Brothers, though.

I'm leaning towards Pippin & Tog if they turn out to be little sweet lovebugs...

I dunno. We'll see! Fifteeeeeen days.

My vote is for Pippin & Tog, or Pippin & Togg, if you like the spelling better. I've always been partial to the name Pippin (I had a much loved dog by that name).

Redvixen, it has to be "Tog" with one "g". They are characters from Pogles ' Wood. It was a TV show in the BBC's Watch with Mother series.

How about Uluru( the aboriginal name for Ayers Rock) instead of Opal? Bondi is the famous beach near Sydney.
