For the ladies... Need help finding the jeans that fit you best?→[More:]This is pretty cool. I have been on about a 20 year quest for the elusive perfect pair of jeans.
I'm not a fan of the Gap, but they've just made a big deal of the line of jeans they're introducing this fall, and I tried some on during my lunch hour this week. A bunch of them have excellent fits - really good. Also, they've used denim with a nice, thick, heavy, soft feel -- remember how jeans used to feel wayyy long ago (yeah, when they were still made here and not designed to be as cheap as possible?)
Didn't buy any, 'cause I'm fixed for jeans right now, but they're worth a look.
They found one pair of jeans that fit me well and they're $160. I don't think I'll them $160-worth. I'll stick with my mediocre fitting jeans, thank you very much.
That's a good site, except that most of the jeans aren't available in the UK. I usually buy mine from a stall at North Weald market that sells Marks & Spencer overstocks. M&S are one of the few places in the UK that do short leg lengths. Jeans are a bastard to shorten, and I'm not going to pay an extra tenner to get them taken up. Unfortunately M&S jeans aren't fashionable. I'd love to be able to find a pair of low-ish rise jeans with a slight flare or boot cut in a leg length that's just right, and that'll fit my huge arse and thighs.
I really liked the Tommy Hilfiger jeans that were marked as ideal for me. I'll have a look for them in London. But I bet they won't be only $59 :-(
Ok, so curiosity got the better of me and I took their quizette, they found over 30 pairs of jeans that would work for me and of course - I wouldn't be caught dead in any of them. If I can't have my 100 dollar M&FG jeans, I have to stick with Liz Claiborne - neither of which appears on their list.
Where's the quizette that tells you if you are wearing the right bra???
I got lucky, they recommended 66 pairs to me. Some were brands I already have, but frankly I didn't spend a great deal of time mulling it over since I can't justify buying new jeans in my current financial state. I have bookmarked the site for future use, though.
