OMG kitty!!! [More:] click the links. for whatever reason Safari doesn't give me a photo posting option...

cuteness #1

cuteness #2

these were so adorably sweet I couldn't resist getting out the Nikon. My roommate Aaron and Billy the kitty, both passed out on the livingroom floor in front of the TV after a long movie night on Saturday.

If the links work, Billy is wearing the cute little baby t-shirt because he's got a sore spot on his ribs he needs to quit worrying at. the shirt works, and looks darned cute, too.

(my roommate would absolutely KILL0RZ me if he knew I posted these... bwaahaahaaa....)

This story goes here, right?

I was at the farmers' market yesterday and there was this woman walking through the throng with a big orange cat on a leash. This was the doggiest cat I've ever seen -- walking up to people, sniffing their legs, checking everything out.

But what's even better is that the FFA kids had a booth at the market yesterday, and they had a 3 pens set up. One had a couple of pigs, one had sheep, and one had some calves.

I watched this leash-cat watch the pigs for about 15 minutes. Then the cat moved on to the sheep, laid down in front of them, and stared. The cat was fucking fascinated, and so was I. (And so was everyone else. A crowd soon gathered, though the cat was oblivious.)

It was one of the best things I've ever seen.

But the pajamas are cool. too.

Lemme get this straight. The Fist-Fuckers of America had a booth at your farmers' market — with animals, yet — and you're talking about a cat on a leash? WTF??!!

mudpuppie, that's the best story I've ever heard!!! man, too bad you couldn't get photos of that.

when we went to Target to find Billy his little t-shirt, I told Aaron that if he got him a 'Hello Kitty' t-shirt, I'd be morally obligated to post pics of it all over the internets. I've been resisting the temptation for a week, but that was just too much cuteness to handle.

there are a couple of folks here in our complex who walk their cats on leashes. out here a leash-trained cat is not so much of an oddity, it's simply because in Colorado you can't leave your pets, especially cats and small dogs out to roam, and especially not at night. if the foxes don't get them, the coyotes or mountain lions will. Even in the 'burbs.

oh and Billy will be glad to hear he's the cat's pyjamas. He's pretty much the lord of the household as it is.

lol @ rob511... apparently mudpuppie and I are both farm kids, so that slipped under both our radar screens.

FFA = Future Farmers of America. it's kind of like 4H. Which I was a member of for years. Years, I tell ya.

Mudpuppie, is the farmers market still in central park?

Oh, and us 4Hers called FFA "future fuckups of America".

Pupps, you are no longer allowed to travel anywhere without your camera. In fact, this goes for all bunnies. Don't. Leave. Home. Without. It.

And, lonefrontranger... How brilliant to actually realize "the cat's pajamas". It deserves an entire Flickr group, methinks!

Great Photos,LoneFrontRanger! ANd what a beautiful cat! Love the p.j.s!

Mudpuppie, love that story. And every time I leave home without my camera, I regret it.

The cat's pajamas (whee!) remind me of when our big orange boy cat had to have his left arm amputated. They gave us one of those awful cones so he wouldn't rip out the stitches, but it was heartbreaking to watch him trying to get the hang of three-legged locomotion while wearing it. Solution: one of those tubular bandages over most of his body, with a small hole cut in the side for his (remaining) arm. With the armless-undershirt look, he could've been featured in his own episode of "COPS."
