The story of Jenny, the Cornish cow →[More:]In November 1940 two Boscastle farmers went to Camelford County Court over ownership of a cow named Jenny. During the hearing his Honour Judge Scobell Armstrong adjourned the court to a field where one of the cowmen called to the heifer. She went straight to him and
climbed on his
back.
The judge said that Jenny was not on oath but, “gave her evidence in a manner as eloquent as any human witness I have ever seen in the witness box”.
