Please help me find a product or solution to my wiring woes.

I have a lot of wires, boxes of them not in use, and tangles of them in use behind my home theater system, my bedside, my desk, my PC, in the hallway, you name it. Where there is power to be found, there are cables.[More:]

In the past I have used twist ties, cable ties, velcro straps, loom tube, mesh weave, duct tape, and so forth. The velcro straps were the best solution to date because they could be undone in a matter of seconds; kept wires in nice, tight bundles; and were relatively easy to redo, if a bit time consuming. This still left me with bundles of cables, neatly looped, but dangling from here and there. Velcro straps worked best when I could restrain myself from playing with the wires, but the truth is, I just can't help myself.

What I'm looking for is some method or product that will help me get my wires in order and keep them in order with my obsessive rewiring habit. My needs range from managing five chords and a surge protector at the low end, to managing large messes behind the computer and television.

It would be great if I could find a product or solution that would involve an enclosure, a surge protector, and that could be purchased or made in several shapes and sizes. What's good for behind the entertainment system isn't necessarily something I want to look at elsewhere.
How about something from here?

When we were packing to move out of our house recently, I left a trail of cut-off cable ties behind me about a foot wide, from where I had obsessively tidied all the cables (including screwing cable tie bases under furniture to hold the bundles up out of sight). I had thought of using velcro ties, but tehy are too expensive when you are as fussy about cable management as I am.

None of which helps, but I sure am drooling over some of those neat items on mockett.com.
