RGB CMYK OMG [More:]
Ok, so how do I convert an image, say a TIFF, from RGB to CMYK, assuming I don't have Photoshop. I have The Gimp here on my Mac, and there's apparently a plugin to do this with a lot of fiddling, but it's PowerPC only, and I've got a fancy schmancy Intel MacBook.

Halp?
I have no clue.

If you send it to me I can convert it and send it back if you wish.

Thanks dobbs, but I am going to want to do this more in the future, so I need to figure out how to do it myself.

I found the experimental OS X app Seashore, based on the Gimp that supports CMYK colour space.

there are free image programs that will do it--have you checked version tracker? You just need one that will let you change mode, and allow "save as"

(i'm a photoshop guy too)

maybe you should grab photoshop or elements from a torrent or something?

flash can do it too, if you have that, i think, and Acrobat distiller too, definitely. or is Graphic converter still around? maybe google for that.
