check to see if you can find the sdram's part number via a google search as you can sometimes get teh same crucial memory cheaper than from crucial.com.

yeah, they are a little pricy. I usually just use crucial to make sure I'm getting the right kind of memory then buy it somewhere else. Also, make sure I picked the right motherboard model.

Actually, what's most important is how your motherboard handles double-sided and single-sided memory in its ddr slots. For that you need to know if your stick is double-sided or single-sided. Secondarily (and related) is how different sized memory stick can be combined.

Otherwise, that's pretty slow memory and anything you buy will be faster and be forced to this lowest common demoninator. Which won't be a problem.

Depending upon where you bought that stick, you might also not completely trust what the label says. SiSoft Sandra and some other utilities will tell you what the stick's little info register says about all its specs. I found a really good utility that does this, but after looking just now I can't find it or recall its name.
