According to this chat with James Macarthur, he has not been contacted about doing a commentary track for DVD releases.

And whatever happened to the movie (which would be a total trainwreck, but still)?

It's hard to believe they didn't keep the lyrics.

In David Gerrold's book on writing for Star Trek, he says one of his first jobs was a typist for the Hawaii Five-0 TV movie, and according to him, it was so bad that he could never bring himself to watch the series. Personally, I think it was just his first experience inside the bowels of the sausage factory ...
