What's the highest number you've counted to? →[More:]base 10, by ones.

I counted to 5000ish once when I was doing an inventory of writing utensils when I was in the miltary.

It's not the number that matters, it's what the interval is. For example:

One, ten, 100, 1000, 10,000, 100,000, 1,000,000

See? I just counted to a million before your very eyes.

backwards from 1000 one night when I couldn't get to sleep. I got to '1' and was like "well crap, now what?!"

I tried to write out a googleplex when I was in 7th grade because my math teacher said it was impossible. I filled up a whole bunch of notebooks with 0s and that was fun, if a little O/C, but then I couldn't bring myself to actually count them all. I think I had like 5 or 6 full spiral bound notebooks full of just zeroes. Except for the first one, that is, that started with 1.
