Now, do the games begin! [More:]

Get yourselves in front of a TV, relax and enjoy it. Now!

Ladies and Gentlemen, this is BRAZIL! thanks, talos!
Is there any human endeavor in which we (USA) are not currently getting our asses handed to us by the rest of the world?

(Other than of course, filling up the world with Walmarts, Starbucks, McDonalds, etc.)

Who cares. Soccer is the most boringest sport to watch on the TV ever.

There's no way it's more boring than golf.

I believe we are still in the lead in wildy broad generalizations.

Soccer is the most boringest sport to watch on the TV ever.

Ever see a baseball game?

dame, I'd pick gymnasts over swimmers and divers, but soccer wins out because you can see them for extended periods of time. Heeeeeeee.

Sometimes a boring sport makes good television simply because it's boring. Take F1 racing--during many races not much happens beyond the few seconds of excitement at the start and, if you're lucky, a lead change during pit stops. But by watching the race in its entirety, you've proven that you are a True Fan.

And like F1, the tedium of soccer serves as a counterpoint to the beautiful and truly exciting moments of the sport. Yes, you may have to sit through a few races or matches--but when you finally witness Hakkinen put the moves on Schumacher, or you see Wayne Rooney bury a freekick, it suddenly becomes worth the wait.

I don't find it boring at all. The fact that most games tend to be low-scoring means that every goal counts and the anticipation of each point is deliciously excruciating.

did Brazil win it all yet? I hear most of the world is cheering for them.
