I did a stupid thing when I was around 24. I had just gotten a new job and a 60% raise and bought a very uneconomical vehicle to celebrate. So, today I undid the biggest financial mistake I've ever made, so I am understandably giddy with excitement. My fuel efficiency is going up over 50%, my monthly payment is going down $160, and my insurance is going way down as well.

Holy shit am I bursting at the seams right now. Yay!!

Thanks everyone. Chewie, the Matrix was among my short list of cars to check out. But I ran across this car, couldn't believe the price, checked with my friend who has an Altima to get his blessing, drove it, haggled to get the payment I was looking for, and bought it. It really worked out very, very well.

I'd been thinking about doing this for about six months, and lately it's been weighing on me very heavily. Probably because my daily commute has been almost 20 miles further on my current project. I'm so glad to have finally done it!
