To answer your question:

-My degree was in Communication-Media Studies.

-My work experience is corporate-y operational support for an educational facility (private sector, big big behemoth of a company, no I do not want to do anything even remotely similar to this job ever again).

-I really want to work in the entertainment media, particularly in small independent companies, but I know full well it's hard to find those type of gigs. In the past month, I've been applying for anything I can willy-nilly, and I've gone through a billion resume rewrites and applied for things I am over- and under-qualified for, and a lot in between. But it's like banging my head against the wall and it makes me hate the world.

Yes. One which flipping blew me off...the other one was recommended last week and I sent them my resume last weekend...I haven't heard anything from them and I need to follow up next week. My grand scheme was to temp and I can't even manage that right, haha.

I'd suggest something, but seeing as I've been unemployed for, um, a 'while', you may not want to listen to my job advice. Suicide advice, that's another story...
