Yay for missing ovaries and pain meds! Hey all. I got home from my surgery on Friday morning. →[More:]My surgeon said my cyst was HUGE but luckily it was a simple cyst and he was able to remove it laparascopically with a slightly larger than normal incision.

I'm propped up in bed with lots of pillows and pain meds and feeling...OK. Every day is a little bit better and I expect to be up and around in no time. Thanks to everyone who sent me good wishes. They helped so much!

Wow.

I know of a 27 pound cyst that doctors wanted to save, but nothing was big enough. They just thought she was pregnant until month 9+.

I feel compelled to tell you to lie down.

Heh, don't worry, that's my most favorite postion right now. Lots of lying around and occasionally shuffling to the bathroom like an old man. I'm doing a lot of wincing too. Also, the tube they intubated me with gave me a fat lip so I'm looking quite sexy what with my puffy lips and unwashed hair and limpy wincing. So sexy.

My hips have been aching like a screeching rabies victim for no good reason for days. Maybe it's symapthetic lady pains of the lady parts. Nothing is as sexy as achy, throbby pain.

God, we're hot.

Yay, good for you LeeJay. Take care of yourself. I know where you're at, and I'm really sorry I didn't have anyone but the cats to share my unshowered, funky, greasy-haired self with after my surgery because, damn, I know how hot I must've looked!

I remember when I had my "investigative laparoscopy" (also read: overzealous doctors) my shoulders hurt like a bitch 2 days after the operation. Something about air bubbling up there....

I had my gallbladder removed laparoscopically, and the worst part was the pain from the gas they pumped in my belly. Two and three days later, I could have sworn I was feeling a baby kick from the gas just bubbling around in there! I hope you are resting comfortably, you slippery, sexy thing, you. Heal fast! ^_^

redvixen and carmina: I haven't had shoulder pains although I was warned I might. Instead I have a very swollen belly full of gas. I'm feeling OK except for the cramps that the gas cause, which irritates an already tender abdomen. Sort of like menstrual cramps on steroids. I am having bad back pain but I'm not sure if that's the gas working it's way out or if it's from laying stiffly in bed for a few days.

To everyone else, thanks so much for the nice words! It gives me the warm fuzzies.
