Ladies and Gents, Uncles and Ents, May I present to you my newborn son, Sullivan! [More:]Born yesterday, 5/9/06 at about 5:30 pm weighing just a hair over 8 pounds and 19 1/2 inches long. He's beautiful, healthy and hungry and his beautiful and wonderful momma is recuperating very nicely! And big brother Grady is still unsure what to make of this interloper cutie-pie.

I need to get permission to post some of the other photos taken during the procedure as they're both amazing and a little gruesome.

Big time thanks to all for their happy wishes and sharing of the joy!

Now I need a nap.
awww, wooka da widdle tyke. Have you begun teaching him marksmanship yet? My private army needs recruits.

(seriously, congrats, man. good for you)

Hey hey all right. I'm a Sullivan on my fathers mothers side, so you named him after me after all.

Hurray for you and your wife. Hurray.

So far, we absolutely love his name and, of course, are over the moon about this little guy!

ThePinkSuperhero, if he inherited your smile then I will owe you royalties!

Thanks everyone, a couple more emails and then I'm a'napping!

More congrats here. I now have more potential eligible men to throw at my nieces Carlie (2 1/2) and Ashley (1 month) when they start to get of dating age.

It's never too early to start ensuring that there are more cool and geeky people in the world.

Welcome to earth, Sullivan! The first year or so may not seem that fun, but many great things await you. Ice cream, for instance, and swingsets and spinning in circles until you can't walk straight. You'll like it here!

Congratulations to your family, fenriq; Sullivan looks healthy. You have 2 fine little boys now.

One question: You originally said "her water broke", but then spoke of a scheduled C-section. Was the "water broke" just a phrase indicating "it's time"? I got nervous, because a "dry" C-section is dangerous-er.

Not important, though, go get some sleep. :)
