OMG Meet-up! SF Picnic Puppy-Friendly Meet-up in June? I was thinking potluck picnic in Dolores Park, some fine June weekend, doggies welcome. Any takers? If so, dates that work? →[More:]

Tangerine brought up the lovely thought of having a meet-up at which dogs were welcome, and I heartily concurred. I spent yesterday watching dogs chase each other by the tennis courts and it was just entirely too heartwarming.

I am not in San Francisco nor will I be in San Francisco in the near future (probably, anyway) but I simply must say that this is the best idea I have heard in years and years and years, and if I were in San Francisco, I would totally go.

Even though I don't have a puppy to bring. I would bring cookies to make up for my lack of puppy.

The OMG ravening beast and I will be busy entertaining my visiting mom on June 10th-11th, but we'd be up for it any other weekend!

CUTEST DOG EVER!

Granted, I've been saying that about just about every dog I've seen this weekend -- beagle puppy! cockapoo named Emma Peel! -- but your dog currently holds the title.

Maybe June 3 or 4? Saturday would be slightly easier for me, but I could do Sunday if it's a bit later in the day (I'm volunteering until 2pm).

Ooh, that sounds really nice. And I might be able to make it this time! I'll have to leave my dog at home though, as she's a total fraidy-cat, and a trip to SF where she'll be surrounded by strange people and worse yet, other dogs would be too much for her. I'm willing to go though! I'd need to see closer to the actual time if I'll be working or not though.

Um, I'm gonna hafta find a place to rent a dog for the day, but it sounds like a wonderful time. Isn't there a meetup going on in PDX in june? perhaps we oughtn't overlap.

Silly Portland, stealing my weekend.

Dolores Park is lovely in that there are always dogs about. It's a great place for vicarious dog ownership.

Saturday, June 16? The only complication may be that the 17th is Father's Day. (I'd also be OK with doing it on Father's Day, but I don't know if others have plans.)

Any meetup involving dogs on the West Coast I am interested in possibly attending. I will gladly and gratefully be a dog-sitter all day for anyone needing one.
