what you planting to eat this year, kids? →[More:]
weretable is planting:
several traditional tomatoe types, some romas, some cherry types, a few more unique hybrids.
"earth tones" ornamental corn and good ol fashioned "indian corn"
lemon ice watermelon and three different red-fleshed melons. probably carnival, moon & stars and carolina cross (just to see how big a melon I can grow)
six types of pumpkins ranging from tiny to potentially over 1,000 lbs (these are hard to grow that big, a couple hundred pounds is more reasonable even with care)
okra, yellow squash, ground cherries, sweet potatoes, russet potatoes, those weird blue potatoes (no idea why, they are not very good), purple carrots and three orange carrot types, brocoli, sweet peppers (rainbow), cucumbers, canteloupes, trying to decide on some other things.
of course i also have the usual blackberries, raspberries, strawberries, asparagus, grapes and whatever else i am forgetting.
i am mainly asking since i know there are some things i am not thinking of. heh.
