looking for an old movie →[More:] it was a british deal, i think, about two extremely chemically disabled people who squat in an empty building so she can have a baby. Maybe from the '80s.

The Melvin Burgess novel Junk (a/k/a Smack) was made into a film by the same name, I think. But after Trainspotting. So, not the 80s. But, I think it otherwise fits your description.

Should you start dating again? Sure, why not?
