Good news, bad news, →[More:]
Good news - I got the position I interviewed for last week (same company, and more or less same job, but in a different department than my present one).

Bad news - severe tooth pain began Friday, and I'm looking at a root canal later today or tomorrow.

If you fast, you can make an abscessed tooth heal itself in 3 days. I've done it twice. No one believes me tho.

Good news: I'm back from vacation rested and ready to work.

Bad news: There's plenty of work to be done, and my new laptop isn't acting the way I wish it would (it won't download my e-mail properly into Outlook! grrr!)

Listen, about the tooth, by the time you're on the chair, it'll be over. Sometimes they suck but more often they don't. Deep breaths, make sure you get a male dentist and when he's about to start in, get a good firm grip on his nuts. Then tell him (with a mouth deadened by novocaine) "Hishtory tells ush that the USHA and the USHSHR shurvived 40 odd years of nuclear detente using a technique mush like thish!"

Congratulations! Don't fear the root canal. It's not nearly as hellish as its reputation would lead you to believe.

Congratulations. The root canal is just a bad break, not really bad news on the same scale as your good news. Get a grip on yourself man! GET A GRIP!

Good news: We think we figured out what is causing my e-mail to not download into Outlook.

Bad news: I now have to manually delete all the old e-mail/spam from my account on the webmail. There's no way to mass delete- I have to click a box for every e-mail I need to delete. We're looking at over 3,000 individual little clicks, probably.

No secret, chew. I just drank water only for three days, and put oil of oregano on the tooth a couple of times a day. Both times the abscess disappeared.

Note - it was two different teeth, and the infections were about 4 years apart. Also, since I've stopped eating sugar of any kind, I haven't had a cavity or any kind of problem with my teeth. I also use this every day...awesome stuff.
