Big day for me :-) →[More:]Today I'm celebrating seven years since my last drink. There's been a lot of change and growth over those years, and I'm now the person I think I was always meant to be.

I was never a 'normal' drinker. I always drank to blackout oblivion, or else I'd drink and drink and drink and not be able to get drunk.

I can't drink safely, can't even go there.

In AA people often talk about a life beyond their wildest dreams. Hmmm ... my wildest dreams usually involve George Clooney and a bottle of baby oil ...

Way to go EJ! I haven't wrestled with that demon in particular, and consider myself lucky on that front. Having seen it's effect on some of the people in my life, I wholeheartedly applaud your accomplishment!
