Ask MeCha. What's the easiest way to install some sort of server (FTP or otherwise) on my computer so that someone can send me a large ISO file?[More:]

I could conceivably use yousendit, but I really don't like to for such large files since it doesn't always work for me.
The new VNCs include file transfer.

One assumes you're using Windows?

Yup, XP. I do have Cygwin installed, but my first attempt with proftpd was frustrating. I'd prefer to do something where I can limit access somewhat, so VNC is not, perhaps, the best.

Hamachi. Elegant, simple and beautiful. Once you have a Hamachi cryptonet set up it's just like the other person is on your LAN.

I use Cerberus, a freeware FTP server, and a free DNS/domain name from DynDNS (so my friends don't have to know my IP address, which changes any time I re-connect to the internet). I'm a techno-idiot, but have been running this server for about three years now with no problem.
