Which room? →[More:]My family stayed at the Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo one night when we took a vacation to California years ago. (I read about it in the guidebook before we went and it sounded like such a fun place that we just had to go!) We stayed in this room, which my sister and I thought was the coolest room ever. Each room has a different theme. Which one would you choose?

Sister - I grew up in SLO Town, so asking me to choose which room would be like asking a San Franciscan which Ghirardelli Chocolate bar is best or asking a Parisian which car to take to the top of the Eiffel Tower.

They're all ridiculously hideous in their own psychotropic way.

Glad you had fun, though.

I think I'm going to have nightmares. Day-glo cherub-filled rock-waterfall naugahyde nightmares, with kelly-green carpeting and multiple twin beds.

Every time I drove to LA from Santa Cruz, and back again, I'd stop there. Their lunch menu was small but delicious, and it was worth the visit for the bizarre bathrooms.

Man I miss places like that.

The Madonna Suite. Got to have the whirlpool shower and the big ass fireplace. Got to.
