the reason it was skipping is horrible upstream bandwidth. i am going to talk to the cable company this week, if it continues i am going to look for another option. ran a quality test to see how good my upstream is working, 40% quality and much slower than it is supposed to be. downstream is really slow too, for that matter. fuck that.
