Please do not throw the dog [More:] The good news is that this baggage handling contractor has been under a lot of scrutiny at SEA-TAC for dangerous and negligent practices. The bad news (warning: politics) is that due to airline deregulation, this kind of stuff is probably happening at other airports as well with much less scrutiny.
I would get off that plane and beat that cock knocker to within an inch of his life.

Oh, that is just horrifying. That is why I would *never* put my dog under; she always rides in the cabin with me.

But seriously, what sort of person do you have to be to do that?

Please DO throw the Menzies Employee, the Alaskan Air PR Man, and the Loading Supervisors.

Waiting for Frisbee Girl's flying dog photo...

(And hoping that it is indeed Frisbee Girl's photo, because otherwise this comment is just confusing.)

"Tossing the dog" totally sounds like a euphemism for something. Specifically what, I do not know.

I really used to enjoy flying Alaska. I could always get inexpensive flights down to Scaramento, and they actually used to serve food! In coach!

Now, I'm really not keen on the prospect. Much as I am loathe to fly Southwest *shudder*, I'm gonna have to give them another look when i go down 7 visit the folks next month.

I do know, but I'm not telling.

What tr33hggr said. This is a really aggravating story to read.

This makes me unhappy.

In general, I find people are all too quick to editorialize these days. Baggage handlers with no editorial voice express their opinion about people who travel with their dogs, or laptops, or nice clothes, by damaging them. It's hardly isolated; it's everywhere.
