HOW DOES SHE DO IT? How is my roommate always in the shower when I wake up? →[More:]Yesterday I got up at 7:30, and she was in the shower. Today, I got up at 6:45, and she is in the shower!

Well, showering at night was one of those ideas that would solve the problem. But then I'd still wake up with my hair all a mess wanting to do something about. Plus a shower is a good wake-up tool.

I shower in the morning for those reasons as well. Well, not the hair thing, but nothing wakes me up quite like scalding water on my face.

How loud is your alarm? Does it wake you both? Is she fleet footed? Does she creep into your room at night and check your alarm while you're asleep and then go set her's for ten minutes prior to that? Does she just shower all night starting at 4am?

There's no reason I can't shower after her; I just like to be able to wake up and get directly into the shower, otherwise I tend to dawdle (by reading MetaChat and other websites!). I try to get up before or after she's done with the shower so I can get right in, but she's a tricky devil, and her wake-up changes every day (although mine can do that, too).

It also is possible she showers all night starting at 4 a.m. She's a long showerer (~13 min) and I'm a short showerer (5 min, including the time wasted waiting for the constantly changing water temperature to return to non-scalding/freezing levels).

Damn. It takes me 30-45 minutes to shower usually, and then another 20-30 to dry off. But I shave in the shower.

The sum total of my surface area is very large, being a large and woolly mammal and all that. I wouldn't even be completely wet in 10 minutes.
