I want to share something cool, but it kinda feels like bragging. But I've been told I'm allowed to brag about this, though it makes my typical sense of humility quiver. →[More:] So, I was checking out my comments on Flickr not long ago and, surprise, the United Nations Populations Fund is using a pic I took in Peru as their splash for the next month or so. I've no idea how they found it, and why they chose that particular pic. Anyway, that it all... I just get goosebumps thinking that I actually took a good picture of something.

Awesome moonbird. Nice picture. I'm guessing the UN scans through Creative Common pictures on Flickr for all their stuff. Which is also pretty awesome.

Dude, you are the awesome photographer - I was looking through your flickr stuff from Peru last summer and it is SO good, I would have been offended if the UN didn't take it! Total congrats and yeah, those are some sweet photos. Yay!!

is that blue camera work or digital or is it true? and is it common or faded from wear?
i knew a photog who did pictures in brazil and they had the same tonality in green a lot-- not a hijack, just idle thought--

You could totally sue the U.N. for copright infringement. Not that I think you should, but it'd be a hilarious thing to do.
