Lazy album covers, excellent albums [More:]This is one of the greatest live albums of all time, but it has the laziest cover design I've ever seen.

Text on the upper right and lower left--smaller, I'll give it that--a (nice) picture of Jimi playing the guitar against a black background, and some blue rays.

Has anyone seen an album cover that belies its content in such a way?
The White Album

(Although I actually think it is quite lovely in its simplicity.)

Although I despise the Beatles, I don't think the cover of the White Album is actually lazy. I think it's pretty clever.

Well, I guess I wouldn't use the word lazy to describe it either, normally. But it immediately sprang to mind when I read your post as an album cover that belies the content.

Yes

Shellac

I'm just not buying the whole minimalism thing. Great albums though.

Though that Hendrix cover is far worse.

Fillmore East June 1971

Actually I quite like that one, but it sorta fits here. Cabaret Voltaire's Live at the YMCA is smilar, though I can't find an image at the moment.
