Worldly KitKats What flavors of KitKats do you have in your part of the world? Today I found Wine and Noir.[More:]Japan probably goes through the most flavors, and they are gone after the season changes. I've had White, Green Tea, PassionFruit, Strawberry, Blueberry, Adzuki Bean, and one with powdered cocoa on the outside. Do other places have different flavors?
Kit Kats come in flavors? Those chocolate and wafer bars in the red wrapper (here in the US)? I've never seen flavors. Huh.

Flavors?? Neat! I want to try different flavors!
Why does KitKat hate America??

Oh yeah, there was Cheesecake, too, and maybe Key Lime? (I prefer the dark, so never had those)

and right now I'm eating "Spanish Salad" Pringles... do you have any new flavors of those, too?

We've had different flavours here but I think they're limited editions. I've only tried the orange one and the caramel. See us Brits are a simple race with simple tastes.

And if jonmc mentions scotch eggs again I'll pull his stones out with my bare hands

What is a Spanish Salad?
posted by puddinghead 18 October | 07:24
I don't know... the only thing I can read is "onion"... it is red onion and ...? It's really quite tasty, though I doubt the Pringles flavor comes from actual food products.

Like a Valencia salad? That would be red onion, orange and spinach.

Oh, no, "food products" again.

*shudders, remembering "potted meat" thread*

Okay, I'm going to need some documentation on these bizarre flavors.

Until now I thought all you get were "KitKat" flavored KitKat bars. Here are some of the flavors at Wikipedia. Blood Orange?

i wanna try all the variations, just for the sake of knowing.
i've wanted to try curry flavored chips since i saw Tampopo

"Gimme a break
Gimme a break
Break me off a piece of that KitKat bar"

What if I don't want to? I always found that little jingle vaguely threatening. No one demands a piece of my KitKat. I have to offer it freely and without condition, like my love.

Oh, I forgot about flickr. Spanish Salad Pringles

Kit Kat APPLE? Oh, do I want to try that!

I saw the orange and mint editions in the store recently.

A place in the East Village sells both Banana and Stawberry Kit Kats from Japan, which are both really tasty. I had a White Chocolate Big Kat from a British store was that was the sucrose equivalent of freebasing pure Colombian flake.

I don't eat Kit Kats. I'm still pissed at Nestlé.

so, Nez, do you think you could get us cheap bulk pocky? i bet the shipping would kill the difference, though.

*still wondering on those chocolate filled little cookies with the cartoon animal stamps*

The rooster shaped one stamped "COCK," (no, I am not joking) is especially disconcerting, or fun to freak people out with depending on my mood.

I'll post more when I'm back in town—going to Osaka overnight tomorrow. I have several KitKat variety boxes (but chocolate rarely survives long in the same house as me). 'til then...

you're all so deliciously distracting
and yet, i've still managed to get stuff done
"Remarkable and tasty!"

I've seen dark chocolate, white chocolate, caramel and peanut butter KitKats. No thanks, I'll stick to the original. Oh, and by the way, Canadian KitKats are better than US KitKats. It's all in the chocolate used.

I tried the orange cream one. It was terrible.
posted by me3dia 18 October | 12:40
Like many others, I had no idea that KitKats come in flavors.

Hmm. I think that American candy kind of sucks.

The Original 99 Cents Only Stores here in Californium had six-packs of Mint and Orange Kit-Kats for a while. They weren't that great, therefore, they were too good to last...

Give.
Me.
A.
Break.

Yeah, reading about those low carb ones was quite bizarre. I think I forgot to mention Melon KitKats. Anyway, I'm about to leave, but will upload some pictures here later.
