I'm afraid I'm headed for the Nyquil highway myself (though, come to think of it, I don't think we even have it here). My ears are ringing and my head is thrumming, and yesterday I took a nap and slept so hard and deep that I drooled all over my pillow.

Something of a Nyquil nature is forming.

When I have a bad cold that keeps me at home I always go for the stuff that says "May cause drowsiness" on the bottle. If it's gloopy, viscous, comes in a brown bottle and tastes like earwax then all the better.

Oh I used to be all about the NyQuil, but these days I just go straight for the home remedy:

2 advil
2 fingers of whiskey in a mug with a spoon of honey and a splash of lemon juice.

That and comfy flannel jammies, a box of aloe vera-infused kleenex, a back-rubbing husband, assorted magazines, and some goofy TV.
