And here's mine - well jamaicans.com's - for ginger beer. Total cost, about 2 quid.
INGREDIENTS
* 1 pound ginger
* 8 tablespoons of brown sugar
* 5 pints of water (2.5 quarts)
METHOD:
1. Puree ginger and water in blender.
2. Let it sit for a day.
3. Add sugar & mix (add more or less sugar based on your taste - i decided on about 4-5 heaped dessert spoons.)
