Gamers ask: "What about the children?" [More:]

The story so far:

1) Fashion designer develops graffiti-art videogame.

2) Fashion designer confronts NYC's legal attempt to block promotion tied to the game.

3) Rather than discuss the designer's commidification of street culture, or the heavy-handedness of civil politics, the members of a gaming forum rhapsodise on weither children naturally lack critical thinking skills or if the limits of education play a greater role.
It's Evil Avatar. If you really need me to direct you to some gaming forums inhabited by human lifeforms, let me know.

Quarter to Three is cool, though I don't know if they update all that often anymore. I can't access gaming sites here at work (so I won't try linking them -- no way to tell if the link works) but the "Shoot Club" column in the archives is worth reading. If you do, I recommend starting from the first one.

What ESRB rating did the graffitti game receive? (The same stupid blocker that prevents me from checking out Quarter to Three kept me from RTFA, sorry).

QT3 has a very active forum, but a mostly moribund front-page.

Interesting story. I like the judge's rationale for allowing the event. Thanks, Smart Dalek.
