            <description>Philip K. Dick is singularly the reason why I never pursued a fiction writing career. After him, all plots are superfluous. He destroyed the notion of heroism while covering the spectrum of the human capacity to be an asshole. My imagination was insufficient to find a glimpse beyond ground he had already covered multiple times.

I had read about half of his novels before I stumbled onto Ubik, and after reading that, even he couldn't outdo himself.</description>
