A RAPPING TURKEY! I LOVE IT!!!

And I don't understand a word of the Finnish group, but I enjoyed listening to it more than 90% of Heavy Metal Rock. (Hey, I still love Blue Oyster Cult with or without cowbell).

And the UK entry is not so much Billy Ocean as he is Seal on happy pills.

This might be a genuinely FUN competition...

The only thing missing from Dustin the Turkey's Turkey is Sinead O Connor in her Mother Mary persona singing Nothing compares to you (to the Turkey, natch!).

I used to have a Eurovision party every year back in Dublin (except for the two years I worked on it)

I was talking to some bunnies about resurrecting the tradition last year and really looking forward to doing that (in place of my annual Father Ted party on Paddy's Day)
Now we're going to a friend's surprise birthday party in Zurich on that weekend. But knowing the gang that's gathering from all coners of the globe it should be easy enough to convince them. Yaay for Euro parties!

Wendell: I watched the Latvian finals live last night - everyone else was utter tripe and Pirates of the Sea killed in the SMS voting - in ten minutes, they received over 29,000 votes, in a country of a little over 2 million people. That's nearly 1.5% of the total population!

Okay so how do I watch the finals in California? I LOVE these!

Though so far only the Finnish one is listenable to me. Does it seem weird to anyone else to have a metal band look so healthy and freshly scrubbed? Perfect teeth?
