I know they can be a pain in the ass, but I love giant snow storms that stop everything. It's like Mother Nature's way of forcing people to slow down.

But because I so dearly love snow, we have gotten NONE out here. It was fargin' 70 degrees here yesterday!!! If I wanted a balmy February, I would not live in the Mid-Atlantic. I WANT SNOW, DAMMIT!!!!!

During the snowstorm yesterday, I got to work from home, so I didn't even have to walk much in the weather.

However, I did watch people foolishly try to speed up the hill we live on and get stuck.

I also watched buses change their route (and apparently they gave up entirely later).

It was really strange because where I lived, it started snowing on Tuesday, but wasn't really that bad until noon yesterday. Then it was relentless, and with the wind, I could shovel every hour only to have my work completely come undone.

We didn't get as much snow here as dhartung, but it was enough to make everything a mess yesterday afternoon and evening. I had to drive our shop van about 10 miles in the stuff with very little weight in the back end and tires that aren't the best any more. I made it, but I was white-knucklin' for most of the way.
