I'm tired, but I have a week's holiday, away from work. Apart from the August Bank Holiday Monday, I've not had a day off since May. And things are so very stressful in the office.

I'm going to Suffolk tomorrow for a few days, gentle countryside, lovely beaches, fish and chips, reading, very little internet access, old-fashioned amusement arcades along the Promenade... I'm going to record the debate tonight (it's on at 2am here) and watch it in the morning before I leave.

I walked a friend's dog today, across the plain that lies next to the forest. I was worried in case she ran off, but I only had to touch the treat bag at my belt for her to run back from wherever she was to be right back at my side. She's cute, but I don't want a dog. They're needy and take too much looking-after, even a little one like her.

Hello all!

We finally have a few weeks of uninterrupted home-time (no visitors, no traveling). The older I get, the more I wish to just stay home and not do a thing.

That said, we are hosting a little get-together tonight for our trivia team. We will be soothing one another as we watch the first debate between that nasty cheeto and our next president.

We put the finishing touches on a bathroom remodel this weekend, and now it looks super spiffy.
