Friday question NOT from the Book of Questions If you were going to give up a pervasive feature of modern life, would it be TV, fast food, or something else?
As I stopped eating fast food more than a decade ago, as a direct result of reading Fast Food Nation, this is an easy answer for me.

Probably the TV. By which these days I guess I mean, "Watching entertainment on a screen in my house."

Fast food. Easy.

I'm already going without tv except when I stop in to visit neighbors and he always has an old western or elvis movie blaring.

I also don't eat fast food except when necessary to accommodate other people.

I could even suffer without air conditioning.

I wouldn't give up indoor plumbing or the internet!

Can't live without tv. Keeps me sane. Cell phone could go, though.

I don't eat fast food, so I can't give up something I don't already do. But I could happily live without my cell phone.

I occasionally eat fast food, but with enormous guilt and usually in secret. I would love to be forced to give it up because my own self-control sucks.

I don't do fast food, so that's not an option.
Honestly? I find myself far more often muttering that I wish computers didn't exist, far more than I curse television.
