Beverly Cleary is 100 today. I always loved her books -- one of the few writers who really seems to remember what it's like to be a kid. I also have a soft spot for her teen novels.

[More:][And if it turns out you don't like her books, go 'way, I don' wanna hear it.]
Oh, I LOVE finding out about wonderful writers I've never read. She is going on my to read list. Thanks JanetLand!

I could never get through "Sister of the Bride," for some reason. The others are fine, especially "Fifteen." But SB just meandered along, tackling one issue and then abruptly abandoning to move on to a different one.

Loved, loved, loved Henry and Ramona. I wish she'd at least say what has happened to them. :)

I think Sister of the Bride was the only one of hers I've read. I only remember it because I read it, forgot the title, and somehow found it again. Probably helped my elementary school library was only so big.

Name some movies that totally lost you less than halfway through. || What's your current obsession?
