Let's talk Halloween! [More:]Do you dress up? What will you be? Anyone else in your life you dress (kids, pets, SOs)? What will they be?
Trying to figure out what the kids will be, still haven't figured it out. May visit one of those Halloween superstores tomorrow. Part of me wonders why I bother- they're too young to care about Halloween. Which might be part of what makes it fun, I can dress them as whatever I want!

Daughter is going to be a "zombie prom queen," via homemade makeup and a $9 thrift store dress. Boys haven't expressed any real interest yet unless they can get $40 storebought costumes, which is just not gonna happen.

I think I'm gonna go in my usual costume, slightly shlubby but endearing middle-aged salaryman.

I was in Costco yesterday and I saw a full-sized poseable skeleton decoration for $50. Was tempted but realized not only did it cost $50, but I took the bus, so it would cost me an extra fare for the trip back, right?

My son is going to be a dinosaur because he enjoys roaring. My daughter is going to be a flower.

Little Buddy will be three months old. I, too, believe that babies were meant to wear ridiculous outfits on their first Halloween, so I was hoping to get her a lobster costume (my husband's late, lamented beagle once had one), but the ones out there aren't that great.

Grandma is obsessed with peapods, though, so that is perhaps another good option.

I haven't dressed up in years.

Last year kidlet was a dragon. This year she'll be a bee just so I can ask her "what's a bee say?" and hear her funny buzz.

Unless I'm in the States on 31 October, I don't 'do' Halloween, because I think that in the UK it's starting to overshadow Guy Fawkes Night on 5 November. I'd rather celebrate the horrible torture and death of a seditionary by setting things on fire than dress up in a daft costume.
