Dr. Sketchy's NYC is closing I'm having a weird week. →[More:] On the upside the photo makes it look like we're starting our first year teaching at the Xaiver School For Gifted Youngsters.
This really sucks dude. I just came from the premier of a doc film about the arts scene here in my rust belt city of 225k in the shadow of Detroit. It's tough to make a viable arts life here. To hear of a death of a renown place in the arts scene in NYC just seems too much.
And much of the doc was not about unobtainable rents (as in this post) but about the fact that even in areas with 28% vacancy landlords just will not rent to the arts.
