Linotype: The Film This looks good. Vintage technology obsessions never disappoint.
My college paper was set at a Linotype shop. The sound of typesetting is kind of musical, and the press had a beautiful rhythm. When I worked in Portland's Old Port, there was a Linotype Press across the street, and in summer, with doors and windows open, I got to hear that familiar sound. They're closed now, the bookstore's closed, too, but it's a pleasant memory.
