Hepatitis A News Now! I have a 3pm PDT appointment to get my first of two Hep A shot.[More:]

I bought said berries, and my wife and I have each had at least one serving. My wife took a trip to Costa Rica a few years ago and got immunized then.

Costco has been all over this. Two robo-calls and making immunizations free at stores. I am still insured through my old job so I can go to the district clinic and get shots and it'll go off my deductible to boot.

It seems like it is being handled as well as possible. Anyone else effected?
No. I just don't eat berries unless I bought them, and I only buy organic brands that are local, because berries are such pesticide sponges. I apply this rule to frozen berries too.

Hope all goes well with the Hep A treatment. Good for Costco for handling this right.

:(

I haven't heard about any of this other than from the people directly affected, so I'm out of the loop. I'm glad whoever exposed you gave you a warning and that you can get checked.

I wish you well. Hep A is a bad thing. My wife and I had the vaccination back when it first came out.

Well even local farmer's markets have contamination now and then. Once I was sent out to look around a CSA farm because they wanted to offer a program for one of our charter schools.

I was appalled by some of the stuff I saw, and how animal excrement was handled. As well as their "facilities:" a platform over an 55 gal drum, which then got directly applied to the fields.

I have had hepatitis. I was yellow, nauseated and exhausted for a month. Not recommended.
