Remember this guy? It turns out that, like Dimitri the Lover, his search for romance is multi-media. He just messaged me on OKCupid about two days after I set up an account there.[More:]

He has the same bizarre rant about metrosexuals and multiculturalism in his OKCupid profile that he did on Lavelife. In addition he has these gems posted:

What I’m doing with my life
Basically I'm looking for trouble
With legs
But for now I just steal nuts from squirrels when they're not looking
And write and write

I’m really good at
I'm very good at surviving with the money I have
At spotting players
Sex
And writing poetry
Romance

The first things people usually notice about me
I have no idea

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
My favorite movies include
Amadeus
You've got mail
Spartacus.
Cars
Impossible to name them all
TV
Big bang theory

The six things I could never do without
A woman's body
Romance
Chinese food
Honey and garlic chicken wings
Humor

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Romance
Sex
Writing romantiic poetry

The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I lost my virginity at 32
To some people god gives money To me he gave a large penis

His message to me (and probably to God knows how many other poor women):

When a man counts the minutes to meet her again
When all is lost if she does not remain
When children on the playground
Play with out a sound
When a museum is not fun
And the art gallery has come undone
When every single day
Brings on shades of gray
When everything is wrong
And nothing seems to belong
When you feel blue
I'll talk to you
And tell you that you are insane
For when she is gone
there is no one
Left to fan the flame

i desire you
"I'm looking for trouble with legs" = call me crazy, but I like that. Aren't we all, son, aren't we all.

"I'm really good at [....] at spotting players."

This one really makes me giggle, given the context.

Poor humanity.

He really beat the hell out of his rhyming dictionary, didn't he?

Are there any Swan-worthy souls out there? I am not being sarcastic. You're pretty awesome and I hope there are guys who are not clueless who will see that.

I could not help but read that in Steve Martin's faux-Czech "wild and crazy guy" accent.

Yeah... that's it, BitterOldPunk. I was reading in that too, without even realizing what it was!

That guy is creepy. Then again, I've never cyber-dated, so the whole process would probably be creepy to me.

I've just got back on OKCupid. I was on it some years ago and I don't think I ever met anyone off it at that time, so I gave up on it. But it does seem more promising this time around. There seem to be lots of men on there from Toronto and even better, they seem to be of fairly high calibre, more attractive and literate and interesting on average than is usual on Lavalife.

The profiles on there are designed in such a way that you really can't fill them out without putting some real thought and effort into them, so they tend to convey at least some sense of what the person is like. And it's all free, which is pretty amazing.

I may just delete my Lavalife profile entirely. I haven't met anyone off there for years either. I was only still on there because it seemed like my only chance of meeting someone, and it was better to have a slight chance of finding someone than no chance. There's a good chance I won't meet someone on OKCupid either, but at least it's much more pleasant to use it.

When I was on okey dokey cupid, I met some halfway decent people, which for the small-pickings area I live in is saying something.
