It's kind of interesting. I think when I have kids, I'll teach them adultness as a relative concept. "You're more adult than you're little brother, so you take care of him. But I'm more adult than you, so you have to do what I say." (The reverse doesn't work, sadly, kiddo.

I was kind of sad that I've never had that "OMG, I'm the adult" reaction*. And then I remembered, I may be an adult, but I'll never be a grown up. So there!

*Due to no fault of my own I was an adult by the time I was 10 or 11.
