I was going to make grilled fish tacos, but when I got home with some albacore, and there was a colander of fresh basil out of our garden, and a note from my wife requesting pesto and gnocchi. So there's that and green beans, also out of our garden.
Cheese course. A Point Reyes blue, a manchego, a mahon, marcona almonds, quince paste, roasted figs (with rosemary and honey). Flatbreads, crackers, rustic bread.
You are all impressive as all get out, for your culinary or mendacitory capabilities. If you arrive soon, there will be pork left from today's pig roast, sangria, fresh corn on the cob, potato salad, and homemade blueberry pie with vanilla ice cream.
White rice with shirasu furikake (little dried fishies), natto (there are seconds for anyone who wants), mozuku seaweed in vinegar, pickled eggplant. Porkslap Pale Ale.
Some yummy baked tilapia coated with an improvised paste of pesto, garlic, lemon, and parmesan, topped with a medley of sliced onion, red pepper, and cherry tomatoes. Came out quite tasty.
(can't compete with a pig roast, though... *drools*)
Ground turkey burgers breaded with parmesan, crushed cracker crumbs, spices tobedetermined and lightly sprinkled with misc. cat hair for authenticity. Fresh corn and tomatoes on the side.
