Hillary... oh, snap! In fact viewership of al Jazeera is going up in the United States because it’s real news. You may not agree with it, but you feel like you’re getting real news around the clock instead of a million commercials and, you know, arguments between talking heads and the kind of stuff that we do on our news which, you know, is not particularly informative to us, let alone foreigners.
I just posted this very link on Twitter. The timing of this is excellent, as Al Jazeera has been in talks with Comcast to finally be broadcast in the US. It's long overdue.

I would love to have an actual cable news channel to watch again. I used to love CNN but in last decade it's become totally unwatchable.

So true. It's nice to hear important people saying it.

Will having al Jazeera news on US TV get rid of Nancy Grace? If so, I'm all for it.

She is so right. I'm glad someone besides Jon Stewart pointed this out.

AJE has utterly handed all of US cable news their collective asses with the unrest in the ME and N. Africa. That there's an effective blackout of them in all but a very few markets is testament to the fact that the cable oligopoly in the US needs to be beaten back to the stone age.
