Quick, what are you listening to?
"Totally Fucked," from Spring Awakening on YouTube. Fortunately my fundie office mate is not here right now. How does one begin to explain that show, and the appeal of it?

Chiming of the hour on a (fake) bell. No one has real bells any more, they're all loudspeakers piping chimes.

My daughter is grooving out to Katy Perry-Firework I think-while I try to work a bit. Yes, my 20 month old has craptacular taste in music.

Winter Winds, by Mumford and Sons. Just realized that it reminds me of Fanfarlo's The Walls are Coming Down.

Stream of the new Go Team album from Soundcloud. I love it madly. Also, it's managing to keep me feeling like I might have some energy to call on when all I want to do is take a nap with my forehead on the keyboard.

It's here: http://soundcloud.com/thegoteam/sets/the-go-team-rolling-blackouts/s-k5pm5

Myself making mistakes as I pick out notes on my guitar. And whatever the Sirius classical pops station is playing as my Bear and I carpool our commute. (This AM: Corelli. Ahhhhhh.)

Right now? Down in the Park, Gary Numan/Tubeway Army covered by the Foo Fighters. It's just another song on mp3 shuffle.

The original Tubeway Army album, Replicas, is definitely worth checking out if you're not familiar with it. It's a pretty great concept album, has some really great lyrics (many of which are sort of ambigramatic, in that they can be seen two different ways, with different meanings). It's also a somewhat important album historically, inasmuch as Gary Numan and other electronic artists/producers like him laid the groundwork for guys like Trent Reznor/NIN.

I should do something like a Reading Rainbow, but for music. "Next up, kids, we'll learn about the importance of Niggaz With Attitude's 'Fuck tha Police!' Stay Tuned!"
