[NYC-Filter] Boosting the signal: Anyone up for Thanksgiving lunch? tl;dr: Someone has said that they'll host a Thanksgiving lunch/brunch, but only if they get a headcount.

We'll be around for Thanksgiving, but I think my Dad will prefer to go to a Chinese restaurant, so I think we're out. I might call another meetup that week just for funsies.

There was an article in the NY Times several years ago describing how Chinese restaurants are closed on Thanksgiving because business was always light that day. People of all faiths celebrate Thanksgiving, unlike Christmas.

We went to Joe's Shanghai for T-Day two years ago, so at least I know they'll be open, and they're my favorite :D
