What are the most comfy sheets you have ever slept on? I just got a new queen bed, and need super comfy sheets. I'm totally clueless on things such as thread counts, different cotton types, etc.

Please help me navigate the world of home decor.

Also, cost is no object here.

Watch this I've been looking for a watch pendant necklace. They have some nice ones on Etsy for not much money (I like this one, this one and this one), but most of them don't run. Do you think it likely that, if I bought one that didn't work, that it could be fixed? They do seem to come from reputable brands.

Been painting buns again. The color scheme of this one irks me to hell and back and it's too hot here for me to wonder why. What's your opinion? Too hot/cold? p.s. I'm thinking of finally illustrating some of my short comic scripts and submitting them to Heavy Metal or Blab or somewhere. Well Wishes and Good Lucks and Get Off Your Lazy Ass And Really Doits are all welcome. No lucky rabbit feet please, though.

Why 'Yogi Bear' Makes Me Want to Retch! I love PopMatters writer Bill Gibron, especially when he produces perfect pearls of bile like this one, about that Chipmunks movie:
The 2007 film [...]had none of the original’s retro swing swagger, nor did it try to capitalize on the Greed decade deconstruction of the premise. Instead, it went back to the buffoon drawing board, believing (rightfully so, one might add) that animals making underleg noises and referencing their own feces would wow the masses.

Some striking similarities there. (And it's a darn good comic book, to boot!)

Sometimes the real value of a movie is in making fun of it The Fug Girls have written a recap of the Jennifer Love Hewitt vehicle The Client List, complete with illustrative screen captures. Not everyone's cup of tear of course, but it made me laugh so hard tears came to my eyes, so perhaps some of you will enjoy it also.

my life has entered these long cycles now where as I slip in and out of communities the contacts/peers I had back in some era in an environment are still active contacts when I'm back at it. I guess that's not remarkable in terms of an adult life but it's a bit interesting for me, like a form of 'active nostalgia'.
