Ruh-roh Tornado watch for my area, and the radar has a patch of storm with a dark red center that is bearing down on us. It's like looking down the muzzle of a loaded gun. [More:]Tornadoes are uncommon in Maine, and I'm okay w/ loss of power and rain. But I've seen the devastation a tornado can wreak, and it's awesome, in a literal sense. Most likely we'll have amazing lightning, and no power for a few hours.
Wow. Hope things are brightening up now, in every sense of the word.

Gah. Tornadoes terrify me. Hope the storm passes you by and leaves you alone, theora.

Yikes. Hope everything is ok.

It is a cruel twist of fate that torando's don't actually lift you up into a magical fairy land with colorful shoes. Good luck!

One hit just outside of town last night.

Thanks, it is much brighter now. It was really dark, poured rain and the lightning-n-thunder scared the little dog. Looks like we'll get a 2nd wave, not as bad. A few towns have wind damage from a similar storm yesterday, plus today.

Glad to hear the weather has calmed down, theora. What a fright.

If a cranky sepia-toned woman rides by on a bike, don't let her anywhere near your little dog!
